Downtown Gig Harbor/Uptown
Just across the bridge from Tacoma, Gig Harbor has not one, but two nifty shopping areas. The Gig Harbor Waterfront (or downtown Gig Harbor) is very possibly the most picturesque shopping spot in the South Sound with its views of the water and marinas. Within just a few blocks, you’ll find antique shops, a pet store, a book store, clothing shops and galleries, gift shops and more. You’ll also find Heritage Distilling Co. and 7 Seas Brewing Company if you want to pair a little something extra with your shopping, and there are several waterfront restaurants, too, including local favorite Tides Tavern. If you want something a little more modern, Uptown Gig Harbor is just a couple miles away and features chain stores and indie shops alike, a theater and several restaurants.
